How to Apply for the Scholarship

 

Eligibility Requirements

• High School Status: Must be a current graduating senior at a Putnam County (Ohio) high school.

• GPA: Minimum 2.5 unweighted GPA on a 4.0 scale.

• Acceptance: Proof of acceptance to an accredited college, university, vocational, or technical school.

 

​If you meet the eligibility requirements, please follow the steps below to apply for the scholarship.

The Lima Community Foundation manages dozens of local scholarships for high school seniors, current college students, and trade school applicants.

Follow these steps to apply:

1.Access the Online Application Portal:Deadline: March 15 at 11:59 PM.

Click the Apply Now button below (or visit our portal) to be redirected to our third-party scholarship platform.

2.Create Your Account:

If you are a first-time user, click Sign Up or Create Account. Use an active personal email address (avoid using a high school email address you might lose access to after graduation).

3.Complete Your Student Information Profile:

Fill out the comprehensive Student Information Profile. You will enter details about your academic history, extracurricular activities, financial background, and field of study.

4.Review Your Matched Scholarships:

Based on your completed profile, the system will automatically match you with all scholarships for which you are eligible. 

5.Submit Required Documents & Essays:

Some matched scholarships may ask for additional materials (such as specific essays, letters of recommendation, or official transcripts). Make sure to upload all requested documents and submit your completed application before the March 15 deadline.
